Whether you are wanting to get fitter or just want an enjoyable way to see some of the best sights that the British countryside has to offer then Pickmere is a great place to come and spend some time cycling. Pickmere boasts its magnificent lake and Pickmere Country House is situated a perfect distance away from the lake to make for a steady bike ride, where you can enjoy some of the brilliant views. There are also lots of longer routes for more advanced and experienced cyclists. There are lots of bike hire companies that are fairly local to us too! This includes ‘Bike and Go’ in Knutsford and Altrincham to name a few, so you don’t even need to own your own bike to get going! One popular ride is a loop from Knutsford past Arley Hall it also goes through the village of Pickmere (see image). A great route for people who want to practice riding on the road as it is a flat route that is mainly passing through country lanes which means that there is likely to be a little amount of traffic.
